About Us

The Alexandria Underwater Hockey Club is a new club started by current Capital Region Underwater Hockey club members, with a goal of growing the sport within the area. The primary members of the club, have a number of years of experience, and even have represented the USA at numerous CMAS Underwater Hockey World Championships!

We are excited to share our passion for the sport to new players!

Coaching Staff

Andrew Creedon
Andrew Creedon

Andrew Creedon is a GMU graduate who picked up the sport during his undergrad. After many years playing on the GMU team, he created a new team within the Capital Region club (CRUWH), focused on fitness, developing skills, and winning. The team, NBS, has been successful, winning numerous National Championships through vigorous training, such as UWH focused swims and drills setup by Andrew. We won our first national championship 2 years after the club was created. He attended his first World Championship in 2013 in Egar, Hungary. Since coming back from that tournament, he has been dedicated to finding ways to improve himself and CRUWH as a whole. He is four time National Champion. He is a past captain and coach of the United States Elite Men's Team.

Andrew Creedon

Danny Agren

Danny Agren, like Andrew, is a GMU graduate who also picked up the sport during his freshman year. After graduating in 2016, Danny started playing with NBS where he started to really develop his skills through the team drills and swims. In 2023, Danny made his first US Elite team at the World Championship in Brisbane, Australia.

Andrew Creedon

David Kennedy

David Kennedy, through 2023: Played for the US Men's Elite team in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2013, and the Men's Masters. Started playing in 1998 at the University of Illinois. He is a six time national champion and a player coach for the Master United States Master men. At the 2023 CMAS World Championships, David won his first Gold Medal. He currently lives in the Washington DC area.

Brian Hershler

Brian Hershler - Strength & Conditioning

Brian Hershler is another GMU graudate with a degree in Exercise Science. His dedication to fitness and sports has been the driving force behind his professional pursuits. As a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Delaware, he gained valuable experience working with athletes at a collegiate level. This invaluable experience motivated him to pursue a career as a personal trainer, where he dedicated an entire decade to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals in various gym settings and across various sports. By combining his academic knowledge, practical experience, and personal dedication, he is able to provide comprehensive support to individuals striving for optimal fitness and performance.
